As a school jurisdiction, we have identified Indigenous Education as one of our Board Priorities. Embedded in this Board Priority is our commitment to walk together to nurture successful and enduring relationships with Indigenous Communities. One example of how we demonstrate this commitment are our Elders' Circles. Having the opportunity to meet with our Nations' Elders several times during the school year enables us to learn from them, seek their guidance and continue to build trusting relationships that are so vital to the common goal we have of meeting the individual needs of our Indigenous students.
