Mental Health in Schools – Measuring Impact

The education system plays an important role in contributing to enhanced positive mental health in children and youth. Promoting and supporting positive mental health and welcoming, caring, respectful, and safe learning environments is vital to ensuring children and youth are resilient better able to learn, achieve success and build healthy relationships. Assurance survey - parents, students, staff
Surveys with Therapists and those they serve
Decreased duration of services needed
volume of referrals
prevention and promotion supports reduce the need for increased levels of support - more access to mental health earlier
Wellness Team - collect data on their caseload
More classroom focus on academics meeting Bloom's Taxonomy rather than a need to focus on Maslow's Hierarchy
