Mental Health in Schools – Measuring Impact

The education system plays an important role in contributing to enhanced positive mental health in children and youth. Promoting and supporting positive mental health and welcoming, caring, respectful, and safe learning environments is vital to ensuring children and youth are resilient better able to learn, achieve success and build healthy relationships. Data comparing students accessing supports through the years
Student voice - 2 question survey - was the session helpful (scale 1-10) & What tools do you feel are most useful?
Student voice - focusing on communities, collaborating with Elders to find our what they value
Building relationships with students in order for them to be comfortable to share openly
Gather opinions of our students
Defining the indicators of positive mental health and measuring those to report on what is going well (these indicators will not be universal depending on the group)
Measuring appropriate supports and services (the appropriateness will look different in different contexts)
