Barriers-
1. worry that we won't move forward due to fear of not meeting the needs of all stakeholders
2. Providing necessary and appropriate training and support for staff and students
3. Worry that AI is so much more intelligent than humans and will take away our roles as educators
4. Time - when do we learn it, apply and accept that it is here to stay
5. Many post-secondary institutions don't encourage its use.
6. Need to ensure alignment between and amongst divisions and post-secondary institutions
Risks-
1. That we will make mistakes as we navigate this. We need to give ourselves permission to take the risk; to model that for our students. Otherwise we may get left behind.
Biases-
1. Those inputting info into ChatGPT include their own biases so we need to be cognizant of that
2. Our own biases may influence how we interact with AI

Another barrier would be equitable access for all students and staff
