Table #3 - Guiding Question: How do we, as system leaders, respond to the complex needs of our school leaders? We discussed the role of school leaders and how complex it has become, and that supporting school leaders requires a multi-faceted approach. Many ideas that were shared were various forms of leadership academies that provide internal structures where leaders can grow in their role, or prepare to take a new level of leadership. Another topic of discussion was the emotional toll that school leadership can take on the leader and the importance of creating systems to support and networks where leaders can grow in skill and in confidence as they approach conflict.
