Our belief in GPPSD is that to provide optimal learning for all students we need a flexible and adaptive system that is prepared to offer differentiated supports to students as needed. This year, key resources we are accessing include the University of Washington Center for Educational Leadership resources on system planning to influence the development of our local theory of action. We are using Adams and Momborquette's Leadership in Education: The Power of Generative Dialogue to support school leaders though Collaborative Inquiry. We are using Fink and Markholtz' Leading for Instructional Improvement: How Successful Leaders Develop Teaching and Learning Expertise to support our planning for Optimal Learning, and we are providing Cognitive Coaching training to individual system and teacher-leaders to support their ability to differentiate their support for individual staff.
