Le College of Alberta School Superintendents (CASS) tient à remercier l’Indigenous Advisory Circle de l’Alberta Teachers Association, l’équipe consultative sur les ressources numériques du CASS, le First Nations, Métis and Inuit Education Action Committee du CASS, le Rupertsland Institute et tous les conseillers autochtones pour leurs précieux commentaires et leurs généreux conseils lors de l’élaboration du Guide to Relationships and Learning with the Indigenous Peoples of Alberta. – Le guide des relations et d’apprentissage avec les peuples autochtones de l’Alberta. Nous tenons également à remercier Crystal Clark, Elizabeth Gouthro, Billy-Jo Grant et Eileen Marthiensen pour leurs contributions et leurs révisions supplémentaires à la version mise à jour de 2022. Il est nécessaire d’écouter, d’apprendre, d’établir des liens, de créer et d’entretenir des relations avec les peuples autochtones afin de soutenir notre apprentissage et d’être des leadeurs de la réconciliation au sein de nos communautés éducatives.
Nous tenons également à remercier les surintendants, les éducateurs et les élèves qui ont apporté leurs points de vue lors des conversations vidéo. Nous sommes reconnaissants à Alberta Education et à toutes les autres organisations, communautés et personnes qui ont créé et continuent de créer des ressources accessibles et des possibilités pour nos membres d’approfondir davantage leurs connaissances fondamentales et les possibilités de créer des relations avec les peuples autochtones.
Ce guide a été lancé en 2019 et les mises à jour et révisions récentes ont été achevées en 2022. L’élaboration de ce guide a été rendue possible grâce à une subvention d’Alberta Education. En 2021-2022, le Guide a été revu et mis à jour en réponse aux commentaires des membres afin de mieux répondre à leurs besoins d’apprentissage , d’inclure des ressources nouvelles et améliorées et des événements actuels. Une traduction française du guide a également été mise à disposition afin d’en faciliter l’accès à nos membres francophones.
