Educators, Elders, and educational partners from across Alberta will come together April 22-24, 2026, at the River Cree Resort in Enoch for CASS’ 2026 First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Education Gathering. Guided by the theme “Kwayask-wastâsowin for Student Success,” the Education Gathering centres ceremony, cultural learning, and shared dialogue grounded in relationship and responsibility. Programming includes pre-conference teachings, pipe ceremonies, keynote presentations, and breakout sessions exploring language revitalization, reconciliation in practice, relational leadership, and community engagement. Cultural performances, artisan displays, and closing ceremonies will further support reflection and connection among participants. School authority teams are encouraged to attend with Elders, engage in learning, and strengthen respectful partnerships that support Indigenous student success and education across Alberta for the benefit of all students.
