Released in support of the May 12, 2026, webinar, “System Approaches to Developing and Sustaining Industry Partnerships,” CASS’ second Learning Guide in the Advancing Career Pathways Across Alberta series helps system education leaders strengthen partnerships that expand career pathways for students. Drawing on stories of practice from Palliser School Division, Sturgeon Public Schools, and CAREERS: The Next Generation, the guide explores how school authorities can identify shared priorities, build sustainable relationships, clarify roles and processes, and expand access to meaningful workplace learning. Grounded in findings from CASS’ “2025 Career Education Professional Learning Needs Assessment,” the guide examines industry partnerships as a system strategy connected to student interests, workforce needs, and career education. Be sure to meet as a team to review the reflection questions, which aim to help school authorities consider partnership priorities, barriers, communication, sustainability, and opportunities for future growth.
