Expanding access to dual credit requires more than adding courses; it calls for coordinated system planning, strong partnerships, and clear pathways for students. CASS’ new “Exploring Alberta’s Dual Credit Pathways: Expanding Opportunities for Student Success” eLeadership Guide helps system education leaders examine the purpose, structure, and provincial context of dual credit programming in trades and technologies. The guide highlights Alberta stories of practice and partnership approaches involving school authorities, post-secondary institutions, industry, and Alberta Education and Childcare. Through the explore, develop, take action, and evaluate framework, participants will consider program design, access, participation, workforce and community needs, and strategies that strengthen system capacity and collaboration.
