System Education Leaders’ Roadmap to Addressing Classroom Complexity

Overview

This eLeadership guide will provide opportunities for participants to examine research about classroom complexity, explore provincial approaches to addressing classroom complexity, learn from stories of practice about system education leader strategies to address classroom complexity, and apply these strategies to their own context.

Participants are encouraged to download the Roadmap to Addressing Classroom Complexity, which will guide them through this eLeadership Guide.

Classroom Complexity eLeadership Guide Outcomes

Participants will:

  • examine research about classroom complexity and inclusive education and consider it within the context of their school authority.
  • explore provincial approaches to addressing classroom complexity and consider these in relation to the Alberta context.
  • learn from stories of practice shared by system education leaders about addressing classroom complexity in their school authorities.
  • apply learnings from the research and stories of practice to their own context.
  • exemplify reflective practice and a commitment to building professional capacity as a system education leader.
