eLeadership Guides
The eLeadership Guides are an on-demand learning resource for system education leaders. The design of each eLeadership Guide is based on the domains of the continuous improvement cycle as identified in the annual Alberta Education Funding Manual for School Authorities. The Explore section provides background information about the topic of the eLeadership Guide. The Develop section provides a deeper understanding about the topic from a system education leader perspective. In the Take Action section school authorities provide stories of practice related to the topic of the eLeadership Guide typically consisting of a recorded presentation and resources. For the Evaluate section, reflective questions, moving forward ideas, and additional resources are provided. Be sure to complete the feedback form found in each eLeadership Guide to provide feedback.

System Education Leaders’ Roadmap to Addressing Classroom Complexity

Education Service Agreements are agreements between provincial school authorities and First Nations to enable First Nations students living on-reserve to attend provincial schools. This eLeadership Guide has been informed by the voices, knowledge and wisdom of many, including First Nations and provincial system education leaders. The voices of these leaders are highlighted throughout the Guide, via text and video stories, offering heartfelt and honest guidance to those working on ESAs.

This eLeadership guide focuses on delving into research and showcasing inspiring practices from Alberta system leaders and stakeholders that promote skilled trades and technologies as viable career paths for students. It aims to uncover effective strategies within the provincial school system that cultivate students’ interest and enhance their success in these fields.
Improving Success for Indigenous Students
This eLeadership guide will examine research about system education leadership to improve learning success for Indigenous students within the provincial school system and provide opportunities for participants to listen to stories of practice on intentional strategies to improve success from a system leader perspective.
Learning Disruption
This eLeadership guide will examine research about system education leadership during learning disruption and provide opportunities for participants to listen to stories of practice, about targeted interventions to address learning disruption, from a system education leader perspective.
